Delivery & Returns

Everything you need to know about our delivery and returns & refunds policy.


We recommend you place your Christmas orders by the 17th of December to receive your parcel in time for Christmas. Royal Mail’s last recommended posting date for Christmas is the 18th of December.

We’ll be closed between the 22nd of December and 2nd of January. All orders due to be shipped during this time will be processed and shipped on or after the 3rd of January.


All orders include FREE delivery. We ship to the UK only (including the Channel Islands).

All parcels are sized to fit through a standard letterbox and no signature is required.

STANDARD DELIVERY: All our socks will be processed and despatched within 3 working days (5 working days for personalised orders) via Royal Mail 2nd class, that aims to deliver it within 2 to 3 working days. So you should receive your parcel within 6 working days from placing your order (or within 8 working days for personalised orders).

FIRST MONTH: Once you’ve subscribed to one of our plans, please wait up to 6 working days for the arrival of the first parcel (or 8 working days for personalised orders). Orders made after 10am on a Friday or anytime on a Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays will be processed on the next working day.

SUBSEQUENT MONTHS: You will receive your socks every month, around the same date as your initial parcel. Please bear in mind that during busy times of the year (i.e. Christmas) we will despatch orders several times a week, but the service may be slightly early or delayed depending on the demands of the postal system.


If you made a purchase from The Sock Butler and it has arrived within the last 30 days and you are not happy with it, please contact our Customer Service team so that we can understand what went wrong and help you accordingly. We’ll be happy to replace any socks or to give you a refund.

If you would like to return a product, please contact us first and refer to the Returns document enclosed in the package for more details. The product(s) must be returned in its original packaging and condition and sent back within 30 days of receipt, otherwise your refund may be affected. Please be aware that we will only pay for the cost of returning a product if there is an error on our part or the product has a manufacturer’s defect.

Please note: refunds will only be issued if there is a fault with the product and if you do not accept a replacement.


If the item is faulty, please contact our Customer Service team with your order details and digital photograph(s) of the damage in question. Once we have this information, we will give you the option to either receive a new pair of socks or a refund.

Please note: if your box has been given to you as a gift, you’re not entitled to a refund.

If you choose to be refunded, your refund will be processed within 2 working days, but be aware that it can take 7 to 10 working days for it to show back up in your payment account.

All faulty items must be reported to us within 30 working days.
